Silly Dog Art Glass Offers
Reverse Glass Enameling with Cheryl Chapman
Come to beautiful Central Oregon and learn to paint on glass!
Here are some details to make your trip fun and relaxing
Workshop Description
Take your glass art in a new and exciting direction. Enamel painting on glass is a fun way to use clear glass to create unique, surprisingly detailed images. Opaque glass enamels have a bright luminosity and reflective quality all their own. Unlock the secrets to mixing Fusemaster high-fire opaque enamels with both oil and water mediums. Apply these luminous enamels to layers of glass, applying in reverse to common painting methods before firing to a finished piece. Students will begin with their drawing, sketch or reference photo and over three and a half days use Cheryl’s multi-stage techniques to create a piece of art. The focus of this class is on the technical skills so attendees will be able to take the knowledge gained from this class home to develop their own glass painting style. Cheryl also reveals her "secret" for doing 'blind' sgraffito drawings on glass, too! You will get lots of practice on two 6 x 6" and three 4 x 4" squares.

Workshop Location
I offer this course in my home workshop in La Pine, OR.
16150 Eagles Nest Rd.
La Pine, OR 97739
We are located about 20 miles south of Bend and are in a small rural community. However, La Pine does offer a couple of hotel accommodations and several restaurants/coffee shops for convenience. And if you are looking for more up-scale rooms, check out the Sunriver or Bend areas - longer drive, but a bit fancier.
