I was inspired by some clay work of animals I saw recently to make some reverse enameled glass candle screens of animals that are more than just flat glass.
I have been making candle screens for a while that are square and rectangular shapes that are reverse enameled, then curved to hide a candle behind them. I designed these new animals to do a similar thing - they are reverse enameled and then curved, but they each have their ears poking up above their bodies. When you look at the pictures you will get the idea.
I think they are exceedingly adorable and I'm having fun making these "dressing" them in fun tops. They are super cute with a candle behind them, but equally great just on their own as shelf watchers. So far I've designed and made a cat, deer, fox and hare. I've also designed a raccoon, but have not made him up yet.
