I am very excited to share with you the new tutorial I have just completed for all of you fellow glass artists out there!
This tutorial is all about how to make a triangular box with curved sides like the ones I have been making for several years. The tutorial covers all of the steps including cutting the glass, designing, firing and assembly. These boxes can even be made using one of your own reverse glass painted pieces.
These boxes make excellent gifts for yourself or a friend. They can also be used as votive or tea light candle holders (with the lids removed, of course).
This project goes together pretty quickly, but has several steps that need to be done in a particular order for success. Basic glass cutting skills are all that's required along with some basic materials and tools. You will need a curved mold to slump the glass over and the details for that are given in the video description as well as in the video and listed on the PDF handout included with your purchase.
So, if you want a quick, fun and stunning project, check it out here.
And here are some pictures to show you just how lovely these come out.
